GM4MD’s 2021 Earth Day Campaign aims to raise awareness of how the Myanmar military junta’s notorious penchant for the destruction of the environment for capital gain has put Myanmar in grave danger of a climate crisis.

4/16 #BoycottChevron Protests

Protests are planned across the United States in multiple cities to pressure Chevron to stop paying the Myanmar military (about $150 million annually) through MOGE (Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise) for the revenue from the Yadana Gas Pipeline.

Why?

We must stop the revenue stream to the military coup group to make sure the coup fails. We, therefore, encourage the United States Congress to sanction MOGE to formally stop such payment from Chevron.

4/24 Earth Day Art Auction

GM4MD is partnering with Insight Myanmar to host an earth day-themed art auction to support the Civil Disobedience Movement in Myanmar. Artists from around the world will be donating pieces about the environment and/or Myanmar’s spring revolution. All proceeds will go towards shipping fees and CDM fundraisers.
